Fun Facts
- Haydn was known to be a musical prankster. In his String Quartet in E-flat Major, he wrote false endings to confuse the audience.
- At age 5, Haydn was asked to join the Choir School of St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, Austria because of his impressive voice.
- Haydn’s Symphony No. 96 was given the nickname the ‘Miracle’ Symphony due to a chandelier falling in the middle of its performance. By miracle, no one was injured!
